Typeface design project inspired by my sound reactive animation experiment 'Echo'. Shapes from the generative animation were taken out and turned into the glyphs.

The animation was based on sound recordings I collected in the city, capturing the busy and constantly changing nature of the urban environment. The sounds seem to fade further and further away as the audio progresses, almost suggesting the moment when one's soul leaves the body and the world carries on. The constantly changing nature is also presented by the shapes and textures of the font itself, which makes the text hard to read.
